Non-agricultural use
Pesticides are also used for non-agricultural purposes, such in public spaces, outdoor leisure areas, sport fields, gardens and parks. They're also used in transportation facilities, for instance on railway tracks, hard shoulders and airport runways, on industrial sites, in drainage infrastructure, and of course in the home and garden, in particular in domestic horticulture by non-professional gardeners.
